Position Summary:
TeleSolv Consulting is seeking a General Clerk II to support a Federal project in Alexandria, VA.  
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Responsible for conducting administrative and clerical support activities to include: composing routine correspondence, filing and assisting with other routine administrative operations and functions.
  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls to the appropriate person.
  • Greeting visitors upon entry to Customer facilities, maintain entry/exit logs as applicable, establish the purpose of each visit and assist with the facilitation of meetings.
  • Providing assistance to the Administrative and Executive support staff as needed/requested.
  • Receiving and distributing all incoming mail, packages and facsimile messages.
  • Updating, maintaining and distributing Customer Regional and internal telephone directories.
  • Working effectively with other branches and divisions within Customer to accomplish tasks.
  • Providing assistance as needed with Special Projects.
  • Obtain necessary information from appropriate persons and/or sources to complete assigned tasks and share information with others as appropriate.
  • Compose routine correspondence, file and assist with other ad hoc assignments as determined.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Coordinate Information Technology, printer, photocopier, scanner and facsimile technical support and arrange for repairs in accordance with the Customer’s policy.
Skills and Knowledge Required
The individual shall possess the following required skills:
Proficiency in various software applications to include: 
  • Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook);
  • Functional knowledge and competency with contemporary office machines (i.e. copier, fax machine, scanner, etc.);
  • Possess proficient organizational skills, ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, ability to work effectively independently and in groups and ability to quickly acquire and gasp familiarity with Customer policies, rules, regulations and directives. 
Education Requirements:  Minimum of High School Diploma is required.
Experience Requirement:  Minimum of one (1) year of administrative experience in clerical and/or administrative duties.
Desired Experience:  More than one (1) year experience in clerical I administrative duties as described above.
