Duties / Responsibilities:
  • The Business Consultant, Level I shall provide support to USCG and contractor business liaisons, and assistance in Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) business practices, business re-engineering, business process development, liaison and management services.  The Business Consultant will ensure the initiative artifacts are accurately documented, organized, and stored within assigned repositories.  They will:
  • Support the creation of CPI meeting preparations, coordinating logistics, managing invitations, preparing read-ahead materials, managing, and updating associated online repositories / collaboration spaces, facilitation, and capturing meeting minutes and action items.
  • Support sustainment activities as they relate to SharePoint, SharePoint Online, and SharePoint Cloud Server regarding CPI sites.
  • Attend and document weekly sync meetings to forecast future CPI initiatives.
  • Support the organization and documentation of CPI / Lean Six Sigma training in support of CPI activities, to include updating documentation of courseware, curriculum, simulations, slides, and handouts.
  • Support the organization and documentation of virtualized (remote accessible) CPI / Lean Six Sigma training. and
  • Document assigned CPI deliverables. Inventory Tracking Specialists support the Supply and Comptroller Departments by verifying location, reporting condition, and documenting details of high value and mission critical assets.
Minimum Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen.      
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five (5) years of experience in business development, reengineering, and/or management.
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. 
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Two (2) years of demonstrated ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
  • COVID-19 vaccination unless an approved medical or religious exemption is granted.            
Preferred Requirements:
  • Active Security+ Certification
  • Two (2) Years demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Power Bi, Power Automate or Git bash.
  • Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and Windows Server
  • Exposure to working within Lean Six Sigma organization principles and practices.
  • Exposure and/or understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated proficiency using the following Microsoft applications: Project, Teams, OneDrive,  Visio.
  • Software application skills to support this role include the following:  MS Access: data entry, familiarity with basic navigation tools, simple database manipulation, report generation.  Visio: ability to create process flows, diagrams, and org. charts, format and manipulate Visio diagrams.
