Business Consultant I - Remote

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Business Consultant Level I shall:
  • Provide support and assistance in government business practices, business re-engineering, and business process development.
  • Support business metrics development, facility and workforce planning, communications, and marketing planning.
  • Create, maintain, and update Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate scripts embedded in SharePoint Online used to collect data and provide dashboard functionality
  • Support workshops and coordination meetings, research, reserve, and assist set-up of venue.
  • Finalize and publish event documentation such as agendas, minutes, and read-ahead materials.
  • File and maintain records of event proceedings.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with subject matter experts on facilitation materials.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery C5ISC initiatives and providing project management support services to include: 
    • Liaison and management interface between USCG and contractor support.
    • Participation in directorate reviews and providing recommendations for enhancements.
    • Preparation and submission of deliverables. 
    • Meeting minutes capture and action items.
  • Process Development Support to include:
  • Support for the acquisition and transition to sustainment of the C5ISC equipment and capability for USCG assets.
  • Development of system specifications and support requirements reviews.
  • Address internal and cross organizational process and policy gaps.
  • Gather and consolidate information for regular reporting and communications.
  • Metrics Development and Reporting.
  • Tier One and Tier Two Support Process Establishment.
  • Website Content Management.
  • Enterprise Project Management (EPM).
  • Process Mapping.
  • Business Management Support
  • Provide support to the NSC Remediation program to include managing and reconciling schedules, using MS Project 2010 and EPM, attending and coordinating scheduling activities, and tracking BOD-TAB task assignments

Minimum Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Active Public Trust clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in business development, re-engineering, and management after degree.
  • Two (2) or more years of demonstrated proficiency organizing and using SharePoint including Power Apps and Power Automate
  • COVID-19 vaccination; or an approved medical or religious exemption

Preferred Requirements:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret acquisition policy, regulations, and directives.
