The Business and Administrative Support Services (BASS) team is a high visibility fast tempo group at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport and serves as the point of contact for a wide range of services. The team works directly with department heads, technical managers, business managers, and government staff.
Duties / Responsibilities: Specific duties:
Inventory Tracking Specialists support the Supply and Comptroller Departments by verifying location, reporting condition, and documenting details of high value and mission critical assets.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
High school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Two (2) years of relevant asset/inventory experience
Two (2) years of relevant software experience such as:
MS Word: text entry and formatting, familiarity with basic navigation tools, use of formatting to create or modify documents, page layout involving use of Styles and manipulation of templates and other formatting.
Excel: data entry, familiarity with basic navigation tools, conditional Formatting, Charts & Graph creation, simple formulas.
PowerPoint: creation of simple text-based content, familiarity with basic navigation tools, creation of content using templates & styles, insertion of photos and clip art, creation of content involving photos and clip art, including ability to scale and manipulate graphical content.
Online collaboration tools: ability to post to and download from online collaboration tools, enter data into lists, blogs, and team discussions, create and modify views of lists and document libraries.
COVID-19 vaccination unless an approved medical or religious exemption is granted.
Active Secret Clearance.
Software application skills to support this role include the following:
MS Access: data entry, familiarity with basic navigation tools, simple database manipulation, report generation.
Visio: ability to create process flows, diagrams, and org. charts, format and manipulate Visio diagrams.
