Mail Clerk

Join the TeleSolv Consulting Team on our mission to provide quality and unparalleled service to our clients.  We are a growing organization that provides a variety of professional and administrative services to public and private organizations with global operations.  Our company is currently seeking a Mail Clerk to support a long-term federal contract in Washington, DC.  The individual will provide day-to-day operational support to the government agency, assisting in the overall efficiency of program operations.

Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Ensure mail is properly received, organized, opened, and categorized daily.
  • Utilize automated equipment to open and sort mail.
  • Maintain incoming receipt logs for tracking purposes.
  • Examine federal record materials and perform preliminary categorization and batching..
  • Establish and maintain quality controls to assure accuracy in work.
  • Adhere to good housekeeping and uphold strict adherence to all safety policies.
  • Work closely with on-site Technical Leads and the Site Supervisor to meet or exceed production goals and quotas.
  • Present a professional, hygienic appearance, wearing appropriate business casual office attire (i.e., no tennis shoes, flip-flops, jeans, sweat suits or t-shirts, etc.).
  • Perform all required tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Report for duty promptly at scheduled start time.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of U.S. Secret Service information.
  • Work with staff and client in a professional, tactful, diplomatic manner, with a positive attitude.
  • Attend all mandatory training, in-services, company, and client meetings.
  • Comply with all TeleSolv Consulting policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and/or tasks as assigned on an as-needed basis.
Minimum Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Pass pre-employment background investigation, including credit check and drug test.
  • Pass Federal government background check to obtain a Public Trust Suitability Determination.
  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from accredited institution required.
  • One (1) year of mail processing or records management experience in a high production environment.
  • COVID-19 vaccination unless an approved medical or religious exemption is granted.
Physical Demands:
  • Sitting and use of a computer and keyboard periodically.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift packages weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to push or pull a carts containing packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
