Duties / Responsibilities:
The candidate will support the Coast Guard’s Health & Safety IT branch to deliver IT services to medical facilities throughout the US and Safety & Environmental Health personnel.  IT services include a mix of software solutions and small, standalone networks that process sensitive information.  The candidate will support government personnel assigned as Service Operations Managers in monitoring service delivery, change management, configuration management, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.  As needed, the candidate will participate in Integrated Project Teams to develop and engineer solutions working with specialist throughout the organization that represent the medical community, Information Assurance, project management, and more.   

The Project Manager III shall have the ability to:
  • Provide guidance and direction for multiple projects in implementing IT Service Delivery.
  • Perform project planning and activities with very little guidance.
  • Be responsible for a wide range of project management activities and deliverables.
  • Ensure the ultimate delivery of the upgrade IT services.
  • Draft and edit various types of documents associated with the SELC process, interagency agreements, service level agreements, organizational level agreements and system and installation documentation to include training and user guides.
Minimum Requirements​​
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • ITIL v4 Foundations.
  • Active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Three (3) years of experience managing IT projects.
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated ability to read and interpret acquisition policy, regulations, and directives.
  • COVID-19 vaccination unless an approved medical or religious exemption is granted.
Preferred Requirements:
  • One (1) year of experience with System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).
  • One (1) year of experience with Agile Project Management and/or DevSecOps.
  • One (1) year of experience overseeing Service Operations/Service Delivery.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated proficiency using the following Microsoft applications: Project, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Visio.
