Department Security Coordinator

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Deputy Security Coordinator monitors and assists with administration of security programs to ensure all security requirements are implemented.  The DSC reports noncompliance issues to the appropriate Security Program Manager and Security Officer.
Clearance Required:
  • Active Secret clearance or higher.
 Education and Certifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Basic knowledge of DoD and DON security regulations.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a DCS or equivalent experience.
  • Work independently.  Products receive minimal review by peers or by Government oversight.  Processes require independent judgment and innovation.
  • Microsoft Office
    • Excel and Word proficiency.
    • Working knowledge of Access, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Online Collaboration Tools:  Ability to post to and download from online collaboration tools. Ability to enter data into lists, blogs, and team discussions. Ability to create and modify views of lists and document libraries. Ability to set security on online collaboration tools objects. Ability to design data entry forms and tools within online collaboration tools. Ability to design workflows to control process flows.
